Green Juice Recipe

A straightforward juice recipe for detoxification, a quick energy boost, and some discipline.



For the past 29 years, I have been an athlete. I've participated in tennis tournaments throughout my life, played college tennis, and competed on the semi-professional Tour. I've completed 4 Half Marathons and numerous shorter distance races as well. Over time, I've mastered optimizing my nutrition on the court, in the gym, and at home. Here is my Green Juice recipe that boosts energy, revitalizes, and enhances your workout.



I've modified, tweaked and adjusted this recipe for the best taste and nutrition ratio (in my opinion). Feel free to make changes as you see fit.


Before starting, be aware of any allergies you may have. I am not a certified nutritionist; this recipe is just what suits me, and I'm sharing my recommendations. Make sure to adjust the recipe to include ingredients that are best for you and your body. If you're uncertain, consult a medical professional or your parents if you're a youth.


 

Ingredients


This is how I make the Green juice (32 oz):

  • 1 scoop of Green SuperFood (detox powder)

  • 1-2 handfuls of fresh spinach

  • 1-2 handfuls of fresh kale

  • 1 pear

  • 2 small granny smith apples

  • 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

  • Fill rest with water to 32oz marker

  • Ice as desired

  • Blend it all together and add more water to make it "lighter".



This is my favorite way to make it but it does make it a little bitter, you can change the recipe to make it sweeter by adding some more fruits or taking out some vegetables.


This is also a great snack to have before a practice or workout as well.


It’s a much better supplement to take than the HFCS or sugary sports drinks.
